What is the Arizona Veterans StandDown Alliance? We are AVSA.
The Arizona Veterans StandDown Alliance (AVSA), established in 2013, is a program of the Arizona Housing Coalition that holds annual events and resource fairs in 13 of Arizona’s 15 counties, including the nation's largest event of its kind, the annual Maricopa County StandDown. These events allow veterans and their families who are experiencing housing instability and homelessness to get and stay connected to supportive services.

Angry Crab Shack Arizona Department of Veterans' Services
Through Angry Crab Shack’s July “You Dine We Donate” campaign, the brand vowed to donate $.25 for every pound of seafood ordered – delivery, carryout, or dine-in when it was available. As a result, $55,125 was raised and presented to the Arizona Housing Coalition to help keep up with the increased demand for housing assistance, clothing, meals, haircuts, and more to homeless or at-risk veterans. Thank you to the Angry Crab Shack and our fans who are there during the You Dine, We Donate campaign. We appreciate Angry Crab’s ongoing support of our mission to end homelessness and advocate for safe, affordable homes for all Arizonans.
