What is the Arizona Veterans StandDown Alliance? We are AVSA.
The Arizona Veterans StandDown Alliance (AVSA) is a program of the Arizona Housing Coalition that holds annual events and resource fairs in 13 of Arizona’s 15 counties, including the nation's largest event of its kind, the annual Maricopa County StandDown. These events allow veterans and their families who are experiencing housing instability and homelessness to get and stay connected to supportive services.

Upcoming Statewide StandDown Events
*2021 Maricopa County StandDown has been cancelled*
Due to a number of circumstance beyond our control and
out of an abundance of caution for the safety of all involved
we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 StandDown.
We are working on providing any services we can virtually throughout
the spring and holding a homeless veteran specific event this fall.
Although a number of events normally scheduled in the spring have
been forced to push to the fall, all are working to provide services
to veterans in need in their community in the interim.
