The Coalition received more than 70 grant applications from cities, counties, nonprofit organizations, and behavioral health providers across the state, requesting nearly $50 million in funding. Arizona Housing Coalition's Statewide Capacity Building Initiative Director Joselyn Wilkinson shared, "The overwhelming number of applications puts into perspective the need we have across Arizona. As we move into additional funding cycles, we look forward to serving our rural communities and continuing our efforts to end homelessness and advocate for safe and affordable housing for all Arizonans."
The Arizona Housing Coalition will be releasing additional funding opportunities in the coming weeks, including grants to support rural solutions to homelessness as well as capacity building among service providers. From Crowd to Home Grants and subsequent grant opportunities are made possible through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds awarded to the Coalition by the Arizona Department of Housing.
NOTE to potential applicants on future funding
Please note that the From Crowd to Home grant cycle is the first of three grantmaking initiatives that the Arizona Housing Coalition intends to launch this year. Details on Phase II (High Impact Supports in Rural Communities) and Phase III (Statewide Capacity Building) to come in Spring of 2023.
